A company that only produces delivers its material and never sees it again. We produce, deliver, install and collect. That is what allows us to genuinely bring material back into the loop, instead of merely using less of it.

How the loop works

From plant to site and back again

Every link in the group touches the same material: we make it, we install it, and on the next visit we collect what is left along with the packaging. That last stretch, the way back, is exactly where most chains stop.

Panels, concrete, insulation and steel from our own plants, partly from recycled raw materials.

Just in time to site, and recently also with electric self-loading vehicles.

Our own installation teams fit it, so they know exactly what is left over.

Offcuts and pallets go back, instead of into the skip.

Steel back to the blast furnace, PIR back into new insulation and new panels.

Who does what

Four companies, four parts of the loop

For us sustainability is not a department but a product. These are the concrete solutions the companies in the group have developed, with the figures they publish themselves.

CradleCore®: the first circular sandwich panel

Most circular panels save material or look for an alternative. CradleCore® addresses the core of the problem: the PIR insulation core itself is recycled. At end of life the steel and the insulation are separated, the steel returns to the blast furnace and the PIR becomes raw material for new insulation boards and panels.

  • Take-back guarantee together with InSus: a CradleCore® panel is guaranteed to be recycled at end of life.
  • Almost 40% less environmental impact than a standard sandwich panel, supporting a favourable building environmental performance score.
  • EPDs for all CradleCore® products, registered in the Dutch National Environmental Database; supports BREEAM® certification.
  • Investment in electric self-loading vehicles for zero-emission delivery to site.

CradleCollect: residual material comes back from site

Offcuts from sandwich panels were residual waste for years. Since 1 February 2024 all sandwich offcuts from FALK panels can be deposited at InSus free of charge, and CradleCollect handles the complete collection and circular processing of whatever is left on site.

  • 3,000 tonnes of sandwich waste collected up to April 2025.
  • Own pallet service since 2013: in 2025, 84% of EPS pallets came back from site, 6% more than in 2024.
  • Collection for demolition companies, contractors, installation firms, recyclers and manufacturers, plus waste collection straight after installation.
  • InSus insulation boards are made partly from recycled raw materials and are among the PIR boards with the lowest environmental cost indicator in the National Environmental Database.

Circulayer: coating with a recycled binder

Ansova powder coats steel up to 10,000 kg and 25 metres in length, more than 2,000 tonnes a week. For those volumes the company developed its own sustainable coating: Circulayer.

  • The binder in the coating is 50% recycled material, which substantially lowers the environmental impact.
  • Powder coating produces no chemical waste and uses no solvents: a smaller footprint than traditional wet paint.
  • Surplus powder is recycled and reused.
  • The ovens run on propane with CO2 compensation, and heat loss is kept to a minimum.

Aluminium composite back into the loop

COFAC processes aluminium composite into facade elements. That processing creates offcuts, and aluminium composite in particular separates and reuses very well.

  • Figures and process for the composite recycling still to be supplied by COFAC.

Verifiable

Not just claiming it, having it audited

Sustainability claims are only worth something once somebody else checks them. That is why our products are listed in the National Environmental Database and the systems behind them are certified.
